Simulation Director and CHSE Expert

With over 20 years of nursing experience across diverse hospital and clinical settings and 11 years in academia, Dr. Scott has developed a robust expertise in various medical specialties, including Medical-Surgical, Neurosurgical, Cardiology, Dermatology, Rheumatology, and Pulmonology. Her extensive background includes numerous roles as a nurse leader. With a career spanning 28 years, Dr. Scott has demonstrated a deep commitment to nursing, focusing primarily on adult health care. Her leadership skills, honed through numerous roles in healthcare settings, have seamlessly translated into her work in simulation. Passionate about leveraging simulation technology to enhance nursing education, Dr. Scott has championed the integration of various simulations throughout nursing curricula. Dr. Scott’s dedication to leadership extends beyond her professional roles, actively participating in her community and serving in various leadership positions. Over the past six years, Dr. Scott has played a pivotal role in simulation planning, implementation, facilitation, and debriefing, adhering to the International Nursing Association of Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL) standards. Her efforts have significantly advanced students’ critical thinking and psychomotor skills. By creating realistic and supportive simulation environments, Dr. Scott has consistently fostered student success, solidifying her role as a leader in simulation-based education. Dr. Scott is a proud alumna of the University of South Carolina and East Carolina University. She is actively involved in several professional organizations, reflecting her commitment to leadership and community service. Her dedication to helping others succeed and transforming communities underscores her impactful career.
