Registered Nurse School Setting in Portland, ME New

A rewarding opportunity is available for a licensed Registered Nurse to provide essential health services in a combined middle and high school setting located in Portland, ME. This position works directly alongside an experienced RN, supporting the health and well-being of students throughout the school year under a contract arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to middle and high school students in collaboration with the lead RN
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized health plans
• Manage acute and chronic student health concerns, including first aid and medication administration
• Provide health education and promote wellness initiatives within the school community
• Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with school policies and regulations
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families to support student health needs
  
  

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Experience working in a school health setting preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a health services team
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
