Your action is needed!
Senator Jon Tester (D-MT) and Rep. Dina Titus (D-NV) recently introduced the Nurses for Under-Resourced Schools Everywhere (NURSE) Act in both the Senate and House. The bills numbers respectively are S 2532 and HR 5251. This demonstration grant program will fund school nurses based on Title I designation (free and reduced lunch and breakfast). For many of our communities in Maine, this could help fund more school nurses. For more information on the NURSE act, please find it here.
