Maine Association of School Nurses

Be a Part of NASN History!

Posted about 6 years ago by Patricia Endsley

NASN is looking for a name for NASN's new uniform data initiative! The initiative focuses on the value of school nursing data to describe and advance student health locally, as well as nationally. The initiative will continue to focus on school nurses collecting and submitting data, but also increase focus on the value of how locally school nurses share and present data with those outside of school nursing.

We would like the name to describe and/or easily link to school nursing and student health, and  be understood not just by school nurses, but those outside the profession who would value the data. We need your creative ideas! What should we call it? Be a part of the process! Submit your suggestions/ideas by May 9, 2018 (8pmEST/5pmPST!)

Judging criteria include:

  • Fits the purpose of the initiative (see above)
  • Catchiness of phrase/easily remembered and understood, especially outside of school nursing
  • Promotes professional image of school nursing
  • Uniqueness of phrase (not easily confused with other programs/phrases, not copyrighted by others)
  • Creativity
