Maine NASN Director report

Last week, NASN directors from every state met with their legislators to urge their support of the NURSE Act, in addition to advocating for the national bills to eliminate Food Shaming and Reverse E-cigarette ep I met with Senator King and he has pledged to support this bill!  

Thank you to those that signed the petition - your voices are being heard!

Here are some other highlights from the NASN board meeting last week:

1. NASN has a new Strategic Plan for 2020-2023 with a focus on data and research
2. There are now 82.35 CEU's available on the NASN website!
3. For the 2019-20 school year, The National School Health Data Set:  Every Student Counts!  ALL 50 states reported!  
4. NASN partnering with the Nurses Collaborative on Climate Change and Health
5. New Position Statements approved by the board (to be published soon)
