Maine Association of School Nurses

Opportunity to participate in SN Research

Posted over 2 years ago

Drs Yonkaitis (Illinois) and Willgerodt (Washington) are seeking assistance for a Delphi project we are conducting to identify the knowledge domains necessary to educate school nurses for professional practice. We are looking for practicing nurses, nurse administrators and nurse educators to provide expert opinions in this area.

Participation would include approximately 3 rounds of surveys to identify and prioritize learning characteristics necessary to prepare school nurses for practice.  Folks who complete all rounds will receive a $40 gift card as a token of appreciation for their time. The study has received IRB approval (exempt) from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

We are looking for school nurses from across the United States who:

--Have practiced within the last three years as a school nurse, a school nurse educator, or a school nurse supervisor

--Hold a bachelors or master’s degree in nursing

--Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a school nurse

We would greatly appreciate your assistance in sharing this email widely. If you are interested in participating, please complete the eligibility survey found here: https://uic.ca1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bPm4OiGTiUKfIsS

If you have any questions, please contact Cathy Yonkaitis at cyonk@uic.edu

Thank you so much for your support in this endeavor!
