Maine Association of School Nurses

Writing Opportunity

Posted almost 9 years ago by Patricia Endsley

Are You strong at developing IHP's? If so this may be a great opportunity.Sunrise River Press is updating their 2005 publication entitled Individualized Healthcare Plans for the School Nurse:  Concepts, Framework, Issues and Applications for School Nursing Practice. Our 2005 book was a great success but now needs an update.  We have many returning authors, but some are unable to help at this time. New authors will be updating a previous chapter or writing entirely new chapters on conditions we're adding to the book.

If you would be able to connect with nurses in your area in the immediate future, please ask them to connect with us as soon as possible. Or get back to us with their contact information including email address.  Our goal is to have most of the writing done during the summer, when school nurses aren't so busy.

Two other editors be sides myself will be working with authors on this project.  They are former NASN presidents, Sue Will, MN and Donna Zaiger, MO both of who are very knowledgeable and helpful.  In addition to this, we have developed a detailed "manuscript criteria" document that will help guide authors through the project.

Please connect with me or Molly Koecher, Project Coordinator at Sunrise River Press, 651-277-1244, mollyk@sunriseriverpress.com.

Thank you,
