10/2/16 UPDATE
The list serve will be off-line until they hire a replacement for the SNC position. The school health manual will stay up for the time being as well as concussion and SLVC pages.
MASN should contact every representative and senator, especially Republican (that you have a relationship) and have them advocate with the governor that this position is vital to the health and safety of children. Giving examples of diabetes, seizures, concussions, asthma, etc. Personal contacts and true stories work best. Call, email or sent a letter! Use the attached template letter (cut and paste into a word document.

The questions being asked by school nurses is having a huge effect on moving this forward. Also, pointing out erroneous responses on the list serve was very powerful. Please continue to send them to commish.doe@maine.gov or call 624-6620.
